i agree and you kno what i liv in Texas…Austin actually and Texas was my favorite team up until they barely beat Oklahoma and Texas A&M. at which point i decided to like Alabama which is the team that Mark Ingram plays for! At which point i will also say that the longhorns Will lose to them on the 7th.

im a die hard texas fan, i was pullin for colt but i kinda knew he wasnt gonna get it.. i didnt care who won it… i just didnt want tebow to get it.. they paid him a tribute and had a prayer for him.. what about the other seniors on the florida team.. tebow isnt even that good..colt puts him to shame

Ingram, in my opinion is a great tailback, but Gerhart had every leading stas for a tailback, how sad is that…

Suh is a great defensive player. best in the league probably. BUT, He was not better than Ingram by any means. Ingram had higher numbers, resulting in a win. Suh shouldn’t have won, to be honest Ingram was the only logical candidate to win.

Heisman isn’t about your favorite team. It’s about WHO’S BETTER. i’m a giant Texas fan, and even I say Colt McCoy shouldn’t have won. Mark Ingram was the best, and he won. I’m happy he did.

Between Ingram and Gerhart, it just sucks that one player is West coast and one East… so they never get a chance to play the same teams to judge against each other. So it only leaves opposing teams’ defensive rankings to place the canidates. Thats why Ingram won IMHO… Bama played overall tougher defenses and he was still able to produce good YPG. Not taking anything away from Gerhart, or any of the others… all great athletes.

usually the winner of the Heisman does not win the national championship with their team, in the history of the bcs the only person to do it was tim tebow and he didn’t even start at the time. I like to call it the Heisman curse. but congrats ingram

I got them Bama Boys over them Texas Boys in the BCS Championship game. Last time the Texas Longhorns won the BSC Championship was in 2005 with Vince Young besting Reggie Bush and the USC Trojans. And the people have Alabama as a four point favorite over Texas. Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and them Alabama Slammas will be the BCS Champions for ‘09!
