In the 2010 NFL Draft with the 51st Pick the Minnesota Vikings selected Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford. In the footstep of bruiser power backs Gerhart gave it his all for Stanford and was one of the best players in college football the past few years. Many believe he should’ve won the Heisman and in fact is was one of the closest Heisman voting in history. Welcome to Minnesota Toby! personally in my opinion i like toby nd ryan mathews out of all da backs in this years draft toby because hes smashmouth and runs over people.. nd mathews bcuz hes very balanced all around back there both good(:

he will be great in purple …..but what pisses me off is how there only most people are on comparing him to only white rbs to me he reminds me of the bus and corey dillion …….becuz i kno if i was only compared to my race i would be annoyed becuz it seems people cant compare people that are similar in skins not skin color ……go toby time to run over the packers and bears

Gerhart is just a monster. Best player from this draft IMO. By far the most underrated. I wish the Pats had gotten him instead of those thugs Spikes and Hernandez.

1-2 rb duo smash-mouth. we vikes are going old school running the ball hard. i like the idea. this will make the defense hold their breath even more. NFL defenses will get no sort of relief when AD’s off the field because we got toby.

Awesome job, can’t wait and see what he can do with the Vikings. We all know as Viking fans he will get a good opportunity with Peterson’s fumble problems (misses a series after fumbling basically) But what a duo AP and TG! Think about it on the field at once with AP, Harvin, and TG on at the same time and not let us forget Rice and Berrian, I like the sound of all those play-makers on the field at the same time

@millertime6888 he is strong and hard to tackle like Alstott. but he is WAY faster and more athletic.
Defenses arent getting much of a break when AP sits.

@ChinaHoovers Well said, I think we got the second coming of Mike Alstott. Ger is a complete beast. When Chester Taylor came in he offered something different, and don’t get me wrong CT was a very good RB but no longer do teams get a break in terms of getting run over by a hard to tackle RB when AP goes out the game.

Yeah, know about all the awards in 2009 but best stat? Knocked helmets off tacklers vs Wake (where he/Stanford got jobbed by a mystery clip on his 50 yard run that put him well over 100 and the game away) and vs. Notre Dame.
This guy will do the same thing he did in High School and College. Run well and win.
