I’m pretty sure iowa took care of their business against their SEC opponent…..Iowa almost always has a great line and they are always competitive against the SEC…..Idk why no other big ten teams seem to be…..Iowa since 2000 has beaton LSU, Florida, and South Carolina….and they lost a close one to florida the one year and a close one to Texas, even tho they’re obviously the big 12…..Hopefully Iowa is getting back to competin for the big 10 tho this year….

My high school shut him down (Iowa City High). We only won by a few points, but we really outplayed them. We controlled them, and the game wasn’t as close as it looked.
Ringer is better when he had like what 40 yards against penn state, and less total yards than Greene and never under a hundred in any game…no their is a difference, Ringer can be stopped, Greene can’t be stopped…
Weghner is 5′11”, 206 pounds, and that’s BEFORE he goes to college and gets a lot bigger. He’s not big right now, but he’s definently not small. Most college RBs are around that size while they’re playing, he’ll probably get up around 215, which is actually a pretty good size.

you think Brandon Weghner going to be good??…hes waay to small to play…hes the cockiest player ever too trust me…we are his high school’s rival…the highschoolers there dont even like him
it’s official – green is going nfl. i still say they’ll have a better season next year. most of the team is back including most of that awesome O line. hampton will probably have a great year and that incoming freshman will hopefully be a good #2.
i think brandon myers will be the more difficult player to replace, unless moeaki can stay healthy…
iowa will be good next year, but i dont think they’ll be NC contenders. greene isnt coming back, hes going to the NFL this year most likely. i think if iowa’s gonna win it all in any upcoming year, its 2010. they have their whole starting defense from next year returning except for 2 linebackers, and next years defense will be really good anyway. stanzi will have developed well, jewel hampton will be a good back by then, and we’ll have great receivers with DJK, sandeman, and keenan davis.

I agree, but I wouldn’t call him a small time high schooler. He was a 4-star recruit, 117th in the ESPN top 150 recruits and 15th overall receiver.

6th on the Heisman voting? Not that many votes, but he did make it on the radar. After only 1 year of stats and on a 8-4 team? Amazing achievement.
If Iowa goes BCS, and he has huge numbers again, then I can see him maybe running up or perhaps winning. Wouldn’t blame him for going pro though…
