My main man, Toby “the two ton truck” gets it done…once he gets his game face on and moves that 235 pounds…yardage. Will be a feature back and more durable than Mike Alstott. Can see him making a John Riggins impact on the league.
That’s actually really simple. The Doak Walker award is not decided by the same people who decide the Heisman. Thus there can be conflicting results. Also, the Doak Walker award has academic requirements on top of athletic achievement. I’m not saying Ingram does poorly at school, I have no idea, but it’s at least a possible reason why he didn’t win it.
umm not neccesarily if you get bigger by putting on muscle expecially on your legs you can move faster. I only weigh 130 and I bet a guy the same height as me 5′6 who has more muscle and weighs 180 would out run me. Its hard as hell for me to put on weight but trust me Toby will run a 4.52, and I still think the 40 and the combine is overrated, Look at Austin Collie, he ran a 4.6, Darren Mcfadden ran a 4.3 and my boy ray rice ran a 4.4 and look who’s doing better. Gore ran a 4.66, Toby=da best
actually, it doesn’t work like that.
One of the down sides of getting Bigger, you get slower.
Very few running Backs of his weight class demonstrate speed, power, and quickness.
I see him running a high 4.59- 4.65 which is still fast for his size
hes packed on a wopping 9 pounds not 20, he was 228 coming into college and 237 going out. He even says that he loses 10 pounds for baseball and packs on the 10 when football comes around, If he wants to he could always drop his weight. He will run a high 4.4 40 or low 4.5 40 wich is great for his size. 40 times are dumb, Frank Gore ran a 4.66 at the combine, Knowshon Moreno ran a 4.62 at the combine, Cedric Benson ran a 4.58, Jamal Lewis ran a 4.53, Beanie Wells ran a 4.59 list goes on bro.
Simple, he was the better RB. Ingram was more valuable to his team. And i hate to brake it to u joeshmo, but rivals has never been very truthful in terms of 40 times. And by the way, he has also gain 20 lbs since then i think.
I feel for you guys, im an iowa fan and last year i think shonn greene shouldve gotten more talk then some of those guys that did. If the heisman trophy truely was what it says it is (nations most outstanding player) instead of best offensive player in the nat. championship gerhart wouldve won
he leads the nation in rushing and touchdowns. just like he led the nation in rushing in highschool. its nothing new for him 6′1 235 and runs a 4.4 forty yard dash so im thinking he is heisman worthy he took second only because ingram was on a undefeated team.

Incredible athlete in many sports. Great running back with speed and power.

Looks like Eddie George. Strong, powerful, speed, shifty and upright running style.

he won the doak walker but lost the heisman to another running back. how does that make sense??
June 4th, 2010 at 12:43 am
he ran a 4.48 coming out of high school. it says so on his rivals page. he’s had 4 years to get faster, so im assuming he will run low 4.4’s
June 4th, 2010 at 12:43 am
theirs not going to be running holes like that in the nfl
great blocking

He shouldve won heisman

Go white guy gooo!!.. Finally
June 4th, 2010 at 3:38 am
There is NO possible way that he is going to run a 4.4. He will most likely run a high 4.5. Which isn’t bad for a 235 lb back, but he isn’t a 4.4 guy.

gerhart runs a 4.4 they better not play him at full fullback
June 4th, 2010 at 5:58 am
don’t feel bad he won the doak walker (best running back in the nation)
June 4th, 2010 at 6:32 am
I still think he should of won that Heisman…Oh well congrats to Ingram though, Both had a fantastic season!
June 4th, 2010 at 6:39 am
