During the ESPN broadcasts of David Beckhams’ games with LA Galaxy, ESPN will carry a pre-game show and prior to the match, the channel will screen a one-hour documentary called “David Beckham: New Beginnings”. Reggie Bush, the New Orleans Saints running back who has teamed up with Beckham in his first major endorsement deal of the summer, will be a guest during the coverage.

@LordBillGates I watched that game too (or the match as they would say), England scored early, that could have been the whole game right there.
June 23rd, 2010 at 8:00 pm
soccer is the most popular sport, basketball is the second
June 23rd, 2010 at 8:13 pm
@rantanamo Great way to put it. Never thought of it that way! Long live sports!
June 23rd, 2010 at 8:54 pm
@Preacha1111
I will put it like this. Imagine watching a few heats of 100 meter sprints vs 5000 meter run. The 5000 meter run is continuous but has laps that are faster than the average several times during a race. There are breaks during the 100 meter sprints, but each one is exciting and very meaningful. That’s how.
June 23rd, 2010 at 9:04 pm
@Preacha1111 Yup, lol. Everyone isn’t going to completely agree, and expecting everyone to is foolish. Like you said, the fact is every sport (except Golf, haha
but that’s a different subject) requires some of the best athletes in the world.
June 23rd, 2010 at 9:34 pm
@Silverbullet89 I completely disagree, but I respect your opinion. That is the beauty of sports, people will like what they like. So let’s just agree to disagree! Either way both sports require some of the best athletes in the world no doubt about that.

I don’t mean actual play time. I’m talking on the level of the complexity of the game. While soccer has people running around kicking a ball (I know there’s a little more to it than that), football has strategic planning. Soccer can go till the end of the game with nothing happening, hence why the scores are usually so low. Football, something is always gonna happen. It’s way more unpredictable. This is all just my opinion though. Of course a hard core soccer fan will view it differently than me
June 23rd, 2010 at 11:15 pm
@Silverbullet89 How is football more slow paced than american football? Do you know that in american football, the total ACTUAL geameplay is about 12 minutes. Yes, the entire game, is actually only 12 minutes long. Where as in football you have a minimum of 90minutes. Something to consider…
June 23rd, 2010 at 11:16 pm
My only problem with soccer (or futbol) is the fact that it’s SO slow paced and simple. I like complexity with my sports. That being said, there’s nothing wrong with soccer (futbol)…. I just don’t prefer it.
And the people who argue that soccer players are tougher because they don’t wear pads…. try getting hit at full force by a guy who’s 6′7″ and 350 pounds.
June 23rd, 2010 at 11:24 pm
LOL. Wow if the US put energy into soccer we would be so sick. Imagine if Reggie Bush or LeBron James played they would be freaks of nature.
I even tired watching the US vs England game…boring. Sport will never be big here and I can understand why they have ties. Sorry.
June 23rd, 2010 at 11:32 pm
@pindzola Why because you’re so embaressed that your country regards a sport played entirely with FEET not as FOOTball?
June 24th, 2010 at 12:02 am
i like both football(american) and futbol/soccer/football. who cares which is “better”. both are great sports, and would not be as popular as they are if they weren’t great sports.
June 24th, 2010 at 1:00 am
I am American and love Futbol/Soccer its not that popular in the states though due to the fact all the fat ass Americans here watch the NFL they like seeing other fat asses slam into each other lol.
June 24th, 2010 at 1:21 am
@shoe458 because in countries like england, south africa, etc its called football not futbol thats a spanish european way of saying it and americans called there sport after the most popular sport in the world
June 24th, 2010 at 2:07 am
American Football Is Good, Football Is They Best Thou
June 24th, 2010 at 2:48 am
How about you spell American football as football and world football as futbol and have a good day lol
June 24th, 2010 at 3:46 am
@pindzola – Sorry, but that is its proper name. Soccer predates it by decades and was called football first.
June 24th, 2010 at 4:33 am
If I hear the phrase “American Football” to describe football one more time- im gonna shit my britches.
June 24th, 2010 at 5:30 am
Good to see there having a good time. And trying something different
June 24th, 2010 at 5:34 am
that was good !
June 24th, 2010 at 6:29 am
can’t back ‘em up? lol
June 24th, 2010 at 7:23 am
its CLEAR that football players are better athletes than American Football Players.
